Mexico's Federal Telecommunications Institute (Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones, IFT) published a revised version of the "Guidelines for the Use of the IFT Seal on Homologated Telecommunications or Broadcasting Products, Equipment, or Devices" in the Official Gazette (Diario Oficial) on October 2, 2024.

The main changes in these guidelines include:

⚫ Delayed Mandatory Implementation: The original deadline for mandatory use of the IFT logo, which was 180 working days after its publication on December 26, 2023, has been postponed to July 1, 2025.

⚫ Expanded Color Options for the Logo: In addition to the 100% black and 100% negative black, 100% gray and 100% negative gray will be allowed for the IFT logo.

⚫ Flexibility in Logo Placement: If the product is too small, the IFT logo should be placed on the product manual or packaging. If the product has a screen, it can also be displayed electronically.
