India BIS license renewal extension announcement

Due to the lockdown situation in India, India BIS announced the temporary relaxation for extension of Renewal application as following details:

 

• For all licenses which are going to expire during lockdown period or shall be expired within 30 days:

• Validity of license will be extended upto 30 days after lockdown.
• If the renewal application is made after the validity of the license, the application shall be accompanied with late fee (the late fee shall be paid within 90 days), also extended upto 30 days after lockdown.

 

• For all licenses, if the renewal application and requisite fee is not received before the expiration of the validity, the license may be deferred for a period up to 90 days from the date of its validity. If the license is going to be completed within 90 days during lockdown period or 30 days left only before reaching 90 days:

• Validity of license will be extended upto 30 days after lockdown.
