Morocco Consignment Based Conformity Assessment (CBCA) Announcement

The Ministry of Industry, Trade, Green and Digital Economy of Morocco implemented Consignment Based Conformity Assessment (CBCA) on the 1^st Feb 2020. According to the different regulated products, there are 2 terms of inspection.

• Batch Inspection

Each batch of controlled goods must be inspected by local specified unit.

• Inspection On Imports

All industrial products, either locally produced or imported, needs to verify the conformity at Moroccan border.

Currently, the controlled goods mentioned below can choose either way to verify. But after April 20, the listed products need to be inspected only at Moroccan border.

Controlled goods list:

Automotive Spare Parts Tires, Batteries, Brake Lining, Glazing, Filter Elements, Mechanical Control Cable

Building Products Ceramic Tiles, Cement, Sealing Foils, Sanitary Products, Fittings, Plastic Pipes and Fittings

Gas Appliances Gas Furnaces, Gas Water Heaters

Construction Materials Wire rod, Concrete Reinforcing Iron, Wooden Panels

Electrical products Mobile phone chargers, circuit breakers

Others Articles of clothing other than work wear, Rugs, Carpets, Carpet and Upholstery Fabrics, Baby Diapers
